Raw Milk
I just bought my first gallon of Raw Milk from the local dairy. It looks so beautiful with all the layers in the glass jar. I can't wait to try it on the kids tonight at dinner and see if they can taste the difference. All the cows are grass and pasture fed and the milking parlor is very clean and the family running the operation is so very kind.
I can't wait!!

Homemade Graham Crackers
1 cup flour (graham or whole wheat)
1 cup unbleached flour
1 tea. Baking powder
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup milk
Combine flours and baking powder. Cut in butter until consistency of cornmeal. Stir in honey. Add milk to make to stiff dough.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/4- inch thickness. Cut into squares. Prick with a fork. Brush with milk.
Bake at 400 degrees on an ungreased baking sheet for 18 min. If you roll them thicker they can be used for teething biscuits.
These a a favorite in our houses, especially the younger ones.
Enjoy!

Eggs
Farm fresh vs. store bought
Eggs are a great way to get Your daily protein. But is it any kind of eggs? In my opinion farm hens that are cage free, lay eggs that taste completely different than store bought. We currently raise 22 hens just for the eggs that they produce. The yokes are a bright yellow/orange color and the flavor is amazing. If you haven't had farm fresh eggs before I encourage you to buy some. Look for a farmer in your area that sells eggs. They should run about $3.00 or so a dozen.
